The Four Ps of Presenting

Presentation Skills | four-part series

Our most popular training program, this multi-session series addresses all the aspects of designing and delivering high impact presentations. Through live practice and coaching, participants will be able to apply best practices and strategies that will engage their audience, improve delivery style, and achieve results.

Purpose: Designing for Purpose

Using a presentation identified as part of the pre-work, participants learn and apply a simple yet highly effective process for developing and organizing informative and persuasive presentations starting with a clear purpose statement and understanding the audience’s needs. From there, participants will develop their introduction, body, and close.

Power: Adding Power to your Point

Participants learn techniques to enhance PowerPoint slides to add “power to your point.” Participants will be asked to share one or two slides from their presentation that the group can work on revising during the webinar. The focus will be on eliminating common PowerPoint mistakes, reducing wordiness, adding images, and increasing visual appeal.

Presence: Enhancing your Presence

Participants will learn how to strengthen their unique delivery style by learning how to use eye contact, voice, and body language to support their message. Techniques for removing verbal tics, managing audience interaction, and controlling nervousness will also be discussed.

Practice: Video-Recorded Practice and Coaching

Participants deliver a 5-minute portion of their presentation and receive feedback and coaching from the facilitator and group. After the program, participants review their videos and complete a self-evaluation and goal setting form to share with their manager.
